By local perfumer Joya Studio, this collaboration is a really special tribute to a collection of very New York artworks. In several parts of Brooklyn, you might notice a colorful version of NYC’s ubiquitous rooftop water towers. They’re made of glass by Brooklyn-based artist Tom Fruin and are designed to glow in colorful geometry when the light hits them. It’s the most delightful thing about driving up the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, treasured by New Yorkers as a luminescent piece of our skyline. These soy candles feature glass vessels inspired by Tom’s watertowers, in two distinct scent profiles.
Nightlight: “smells like cold water in oak with other elements from the environment: leaves, stems, fruit and blossom, oak and classic New York artifacts gusto-ed in on a windy night”
Daylight: "replicates the dew of a New York morning. Shorn elements of wild mint, dried grasses, and condensed droplets recollect memories of a more native New York! When lit, breaks in the vessel’s design emit patterns of light”
