Description
If you know what this object is, you were probably alive in the midwest in the ‘90s. During my rural Ohio childhood, it seemed every mom in town had a collection of little wood buildings lined up on their windowsill, shelf or mantle. They were little screen-printed versions of real buildings – local businesses, and historic landmarks alike – and together, they made up your own personal Main Street.
They were made by a company called Cat’s Meow Village, and when I found out that they still exist, I had to have one made of my own shop. Add it to your collection, fall down the eBay rabbit hole to start one, or maybe have one made of your own shop, too!
